Dr. Aster, where'd you go?

Updated: Oct 12, 2023

Why hello amazing people. Yes, I am alive. Yes, I still have my business. No I don't totally know what I'm doing with it yet, and that is amazing.

Here's why.

I moved to North Carolina about seven months ago and it has been nutty: selling a house, starting a new job, coming out as Gender Queer/non-binary, buying a house, and my cat Triss ate a shoe string and needed emergency surgery. And some other stuff, but I digress.

While all of this has been going on, I have loved working at the hospital. I have learned so much from my co-workers, leadership, and patients. Working at a state hospital, I get to be with people who have been pushed to the margins. Which is exactly where I want to be.

So what does that mean for my business?

I want to let my business naturally unfold as I develop as an OT and a person. I tend to rush. To put pressure on things that need more time to develop.

All of that said, I am still here. Empower OT Services is still here. And I am so glad you are still here too.
